The RentCheck integration connects property inspections with your maintenance workflow in Property Meld.
When an issue is identified during a RentCheck inspection, you can review the finding and create a Meld in Property Meld without having to re-enter the maintenance information manually. Once the Meld is created, Property Meld manages the maintenance workflow while RentCheck provides visibility into the Meld status.

RentCheck to Property Meld
Inspection findings can be created as Melds in Property Meld when a property manager determines that maintenance is needed.
Melds are created on demand rather than automatically when an inspection is submitted.

When creating a Meld from a RentCheck inspection, information can be transferred as follows:

What You Can Do with the Integration
With the RentCheck integration, you can:
- Sync Property Meld properties and units into RentCheck.
- Create Melds from maintenance issues identified during a RentCheck inspection.
- Apply default priority, work type, and category values.
- Add inspection details and notes to the Meld.
- Access inspection photos and videos through a link in the Meld description.
- Use your existing Property Meld settings to manage resident and owner notifications.
- View daily Meld status updates in RentCheck.
Managing Maintenance After the Meld Is Created
The RentCheck integration is designed to help move inspection findings into Property Meld.
Once a Meld has been created, the maintenance workflow continues to be managed in Property Meld.
RentCheck provides status visibility, but it does not replace the maintenance management tools within Property Meld.
Important Information
- Residents can flag maintenance issues during an inspection, but they cannot create Melds themselves. The property manager determines which findings should become Melds.
- Submitting an inspection does not automatically create a Meld.
- A single inspection may result in multiple Melds. RentCheck automatically groups findings based on the applicable work category.
- Property and unit information syncs once daily. Newly added properties or units may not appear in RentCheck until the next sync.
- Meld statuses in RentCheck are updated once daily and are not displayed in real time. Property Meld should be referenced for the most current Meld status.
- Inspection photos and videos are linked within the Meld description rather than transferred as Property Meld attachments.
- Property Meld manages resident and owner maintenance notifications after the Meld has been created.
- If a Meld fails to create, the error is recorded on the associated RentCheck work order and can be retried from RentCheck.
