Property Meld has 3 default permissions: Admin, Agent, and Maintenance. These permissions typically work well for the majority of our customer base but we do provide the option for Custom Roles that are described below.

Custom Roles

Property Meld allows you to create Roles with a specific set of permissions if you are operating under the Admin Role. You can create a truly Custom Role or you can clone an existing Role and edit the permissions.

NOTE:

  • Your account must be under the Admin Role to create or modify custom roles and permissions. 
  • The Admin, Agent, and Maintenance Roles cannot be edited or deleted.
  • Custom roles can be edited and deleted, with the exception of the role associated with your login.
  • All roles can be cloned.

Create a New Role from a Template

Step 1:

Click gear-icon.png, then click User Management.

Step 2:

Click Roles.

Step 3:

Click light_gear.png, next to the Role you want to use as a template, then click Clone Role.

Step 4:

Enter the name of the Role.

Check/uncheck the box next to the permission you wish to add/remove.

Click SAVE  at the bottom of the screen.

Create a New Role from Scratch

 

Step 1:

Click gear-icon.png, then click User Management.

Click Roles.

Click NEW ROLE.

Step 4:

Enter the name of the Role.

Check/uncheck the box next to the permission you wish to add/remove for the Custom User Role
