The Resident Presence Required option changes how a meld is scheduled. If selected, the resident will select scheduling windows for the Property Manager or Vendor to match for an appointment. If not selected, the Property Manager or Vendor is free to schedule the maintenance without resident input.
In Account Settings, you can choose whether Resident Presence Required is Always applied, Optionally selected, or Never applied. This setting will affect all future Melds.
Step 1:
Click company name in upper-right corner, and then click Account Settings.
Step 2:
Click Melds card to open.
Step 3:
Select the Permission To Enter to control whether residents must grant permission to enter their unit before maintenance can begin:
Yes - Ask the resident for their permission to enter.
No - We can enter at any time or scheduling is required for every maintenance request.
Step 4:
Select the Resident presence required to control how maintenance appointments are scheduled. If a resident selects 'Yes', they will be able to choose available times for scheduling:
- Always - Resident presence is mandatory, defaults to Yes.
- Optionally - Resident presence can be selected when creating a Meld.
- Never - Resident presence is not required, defaults to No.
