How to Respond to and Submit an Estimate Request - Vendors

When a property manager requests an estimate, the request will appear under Incoming Requests in the Vendor Portal. From there, you can accept the estimate request, schedule a time to evaluate the repair, submit your estimated costs, and wait for the property manager's approval.

Important: Accepting an estimate request does not assign the repair job to you. You are accepting the request to provide an estimate. If your estimate is approved, the property manager will send you a separate assignment for the repair.

1. Locate and Respond to the Estimate Request

Estimate requests from a property manager are found under Incoming Requests.

Estimate requests are identified by (Estimate) in the request title.

Review the request and select Accept to provide an estimate, or Reject if you are unable to complete the estimate.

2. Confirm the Estimate Request

After selecting Accept, you will be asked to confirm that you want to accept the estimate assignment.

Select Accept again to continue.

3. Schedule the Estimate Evaluation

Once the estimate request has been accepted, you will be prompted to schedule a time to visit the property and evaluate the repairs.

Select an available date and time from the calendar, then select Schedule.

4. View the Scheduled Evaluation

After scheduling, the appointment date and time will appear under the Information tab of the Estimate Meld.

This allows you to reference when the property visit is scheduled while preparing the estimate.

5. Add the Estimated Repair Costs

After evaluating the repairs needed, open the Estimate Meld and select Add Items under Line Items.

Enter the estimated repair costs and complete all required information for the estimate.

Once all required estimate information has been entered, select Save and Submit to send the estimate to the property manager.

6. Wait for the Estimate Decision

After the estimate has been submitted, the estimate will show as Completed.

The property manager can then review the submitted estimate and determine whether to approve it.

You can also view previously submitted estimates and their current status from the Estimates section of the Vendor Portal.

7. Respond to the Repair Assignment if the Estimate Is Approved

If the property manager approves your estimate and assigns the repair work to you, a new assignment will appear under Incoming Requests.

This is separate from the original estimate request.

Select Accept to accept the repair assignment, or Reject if you are unable to complete the work.

After accepting the assignment, schedule the repair appointment as you normally would.
