Technicians can now schedule Melds directly through the Mobile App; quickly, conveniently, and without needing to log in from a desktop. Whether they're in the field or between jobs, technicians can choose the date and time that works best, and update the appointment in real time.
This guide walks through each step to schedule an appointment using just the app; streamlining the process and reducing delays.
Step 1:
Click "Melds"
Step 2:
Click the title of the Meld to open.
Step 3:
Click "Add Appointment" to set a schedule.
Step 4
Long press on the Meld to drag to desired time/date.
Step 5
In the scheduling modal, click desired duration, and then click "Schedule"
Step 6
You will now find that the Meld is scheduled and "In Progress"
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I reschedule existing appointments?
Yes. Long-pressing on an existing future appointment will activate scheduling mode. From there, you can adjust the appointment time by dragging it to a new time slot.
How do I exit scheduling mode?
You can exit scheduling mode by pressing the Back button in the lower left of the screen, or by tapping an empty area of the calendar screen.
What can I do in scheduling mode?
Once scheduling mode is activated:
You can drag events up or down to adjust the time
Use the date selector to change days
A modal will appear after dropping the event, allowing you to fine-tune your date and time selections
You can also tap the modal peeking in from the bottom to open it directly, without using drag-and-drop
Note: Dragging across days is not yet supported but will be available in a future update.
What options are available in the scheduling modal?
The modal includes:
Quick hour selectors (2, 4, or 8 hours) that automatically fill the end time
Date and time pickers for precise scheduling
A visible Cancel button when editing an existing appointment
Tapping an active hour selection will deselect it.
Can I cancel or reschedule from the Meld detail view?
Yes. If an appointment has not yet started:
A Reschedule and Cancel button will appear
Tapping either button will take you to the calendar in scheduling mode
