📦 What’s a Project Template?
A Project Template is a pre-configured collection of Meld Templates—each with pre-filled descriptions, priorities, tags, and other setup info.
Use templates for repeatable workflows like:
-
Turnovers
-
Make-readies
-
Recurring inspections
-
Renovations
📝 Note: You can have multiple Project Templates and select the right one based on property type, region, or workflow complexity.

🛠 Creating a Project Without a Template (Ad Hoc)
Need to build something unique? You can create a Project from scratch:
Step 1
From the Projects tab, click Add Project
Step 2
Skip the Template selection and directly:
- Enter Type
-
Choose Unit or Property
- Search and Enter Unit/Property
- Assign Coordinator
- Target Duration
-
Add Description (optional)
Step 3
After you have clicked Create Project from above screen, then go to the Meld List tab and click Add Meld to manually create new Melds and tie them to the Project.
Note: you can also add existing Melds to the project as long as the meld is for the same unit/property and the meld is open.
💡 Template Best Practices
-
Name clearly: Use titles like "Turnover – Single Family" or "Renovation – 3 Phase"
-
Keep Meld Templates flexible: Don’t overfill with unnecessary fields
-
Use Tags: Add Tags like “turnover” or “inspection” for better filtering later
-
Clone for efficiency: Need a slight variation? Clone an existing template and tweak it
✅ Summary
Templates help you go from idea to execution in just a few clicks. Whether you’re duplicating a tried-and-true workflow or building a unique one from scratch, Property Meld Projects are built for speed, accuracy, and flexibility.
