Viewing Properties that have been Deactivated or Deleted in Buildium

This article deals specifically with deleted/deactivated Units and Buildings in Buildium that are still active within Property Meld. For general information about deactivating Units/Properties, refer to How to Deactivate Units/Properties.

This article will cover how to view and deactivate:

  • Properties that have either been deleted or deactivated within Buildium.
  • Properties without a link to their Buildium counterparts 

NOTE:

  • Properties/Units are not automatically deactivated in Property Meld when they are deleted/deactivated in Buildium. You will have to manually deactivate your Properties and Units in Property Meld.
  • Deactivating Units/Properties in Property Meld will not deactivate them in Buildium.
  • Only Admins can bulk deactivate Units/Properties.
  • Deactivated Units do not add to your Unit count for billing purposes.

    NOTE: Currently you cannot filter for deactivated units; you can only filter for deactivated or deleted properties.

 

View Properties that are Deactivated or Deleted in Buildium

Step 1:

Click Properties.

 

Step 2:

Click Filter, then check the following:

    • Is Active
      • Yes
    • Buildium Activation Status
      • Deactivated
      • Deleted

 

Step 3:

Click APPLY FILTERS.

 

NOTE: You are now viewing a list of all Properties that have been deleted or deactivated in Buildium.

 

Step 4:

To deactivate a single Property and any underlying Units, click gear-icon-actions.png then click Deactivate.


IMPORTANT: Before deactivating a property, make sure there are no open melds at the unit level, as these open melds would be cancelled when the property and underlying units become inactive.

 

 

Step 1:

Click Units or Properties.

 

Step 2:

Click Filter, then check the following:

    • Is Active
      • Yes
    • Buildium Activation Status
      • Deleted

 

Step 3:

Click APPLY FILTERS.

 

NOTE: You are now viewing a list of all Units without an integration link.

Step 4a:

To deactivate a single Unit, Click gear-icon-actions.png then click Deactivate.

 

Step 4b: 

To deactivate all Units with no integration link:

  • Check the empty box to the left of the Unit name
  • Click Select all (# of) units
  • Click DEACTIVATE UNITS

NOTE: Only Admins can deactivate Units in bulk.
