Definition
Property Groups allow the ability to segment your portfolio, and function in two ways.
- Limit the permissions and who can manage the Properties and Units in a Property Group.
- Limit the notifications of the user depending on the Property Group assignment.
Below is a graphic to demonstrate the Property Group and Property assignment.
Let's assume the following User and Property Group assignment.
- Jane Doe - Property Group A, Property Group B
- Jill Johnson - Property Group B
- John Smith - Property Group C
Notifications
- Jane Doe will receive notifications regarding Melds that are associated with properties assigned to Property Group A & B (including Property 1, Property 2, Property 3, and Property 4).
- Jill Johnson will receive notifications regarding Melds for only Property Group B (including Property 3 and Property 4).
- John Smith will receive notifications regarding Melds for only Property Group C (including Property 5 and Property 6).
Permissions
- Jane Doe will only be able to access properties listed in Property Groups A & B (including Property 1, Property 2, Property 3, and Property 4).
- Jill Johnson will only be able to access properties listed in Property Group B (including Property 3 and Property 4).
- John Smith will only be able to access properties listed in Property Group C (including Property 5 and Property 6).
NOTE:
You can also limit Vendors and Property Group assignment. By default, a Vendor is assigned to all Property Groups.
