Introduction to Meld Projects
Meld Projects are designed to provide comprehensive visibility into your maintenance operations by efficiently processing turnovers through a series of Melds. This feature offers insights into overall project progress, activity, and recommended actions, all aligned with your target timeline. Meld Project Templates enable quick and streamlined project initiation, customized to fit your operational needs.
This article highlights key usability features and includes links to supporting resources.
Important: By default, the Maintenance role does not have access to Projects. For information on granting permissions, refer to Creating Custom Roles and Setting Permissions.
Viewing the Project Dashboard
1. Access the Projects Tab:

Navigate to the left corner of the page and click on the Projects tab in the navigation panel.
2. Explore Active Projects:
- By default, the dashboard displays all Active Projects, which include those with completed or canceled Melds. The progress of each project is clearly visible.
3. Select a Project:
- Click on a specific project to view its details and take appropriate actions.
Note:
- You can quickly create a new project and add Melds by clicking Add Project.

Viewing a Project
1. Select a Project:
- Click on the desired project to view its details.
2. Project Details Overview:
- The Project Details page will open with the Summary tab selected by default.
Left Panel - General Information:
Review key project information such as:
- Project due date
- Project start date
- Project progress
- Unit or property address
- Project type
- Project coordinators
- Project creation date
- Project description
Middle Panel - Detailed Information:
Summary:
- Costs are work logs, expenditures, and invoices aggregated from all of the associated Melds.
- Recent Updates lists any updates that have taken place on each of the Melds associated with the Project.
Meld List:
- Click on the Meld List tab to see a list of Melds assigned to the project, organized into Active and Closed Melds.
- The list displays status, due dates, and available actions for each Meld.
Note:
- You can send messages directly from this list by clicking the chat icon.
- You can manage invoices and expenditures by clicking the payment icon.
Files:
- Click the Files tab to view and manage all files associated with the project, grouped by Meld.
Right Panel - Spotlight:
- The Spotlight section provides a list of conditions from each Meld with suggested actions. As you address these actions, the Spotlight card will update to show the next priority.

Viewing the Template List
1. Access the Template List:
- Click the Projects tab on the navigation panel, then select the Templates tab.
2. Explore Templates:
- The template list displays all available templates, including the Standard Move Out template provided by Property Meld. These templates can be edited or used as-is to fit your needs.
Note: For steps to create and use custom templates, refer to Understanding and Using Project Templates.
3. Create a Project from a Template:
- Use the Create Project from this Template option to quickly set up a project with all the Melds defined by the template.
Note: Click Add Template to create your own template, which can include multiple Meld Templates.
Viewing a Template
1. Select a Template:
- When a template is selected, it displays all associated Meld Templates.
2. Manage Meld Templates:
- Meld Templates are used to generate specific Melds when a project is created using this template.
