This article will provide details and describe the difference between Shared and Private Filters as well as provide an understanding of Make Default. Refer to Customize and Manage Filters for steps to create, update, rename, and delete Filters.
Step 1:
Shared Filters and Private Filters are displayed and separated on your Dashboard as highlighted in the screenshot.
Step 2:
Additionally, you can get quick access to the Shared Filters and Private Filters by first clicking Melds.
Then, click the default filter (e.g. All (Last 30 Days) in this example) to display a dropdown of all available Filters.
Change Private Filter to Shared Filter
Step 1:
For example, if you want to change My Melds in Private Filters to be named My Tags and move into the Shared Filters, use the following steps.
Step 2:
Click Melds and click Edit next to My Melds in Private Filters.
Step 3:
From Edit Saved Filter, you can rename the Filter and using the additional options Make default and Private to configure your Filter. In this example, uncheck Private to configure this Filter as a Shared Filter.
NOTE: Select Make default checkbox for this saved filter to be your default filter when displaying the Melds list. Other users in your organization can define their own default filter.
Step 4:
The saved filter now renamed My Tags will be shown under Shared Filters.
