During the Onboarding process, you will be required to submit files with your Units, Tenants, and Owners information. Following the below instructions is critical to ensure your data is imported correctly and seamlessly into your Property Meld Account.
Overview
- Download and open the attached (linked at the bottom of this article) Excel file (Units_Tenants, Owners Template (General) Rev1.xlsx) which includes two worksheets (or tabs) Units_Tenants and Owners.
- Fill in your Units, Tenants, and Owners information in accordance with the instructions.
- Attach the Excel file to an email and send to your Customer Success Manager.

Spreadsheet Requirements
Required fields will be denoted by an *(asterisk) and these fields must be provided. All other information is optional and will be imported if provided.
Make sure there is one Tenant, one email, and one phone number per cell, etc. per row. If there are multiple Tenants, phone numbers, etc. per cell, then they must be separated into their own unique entries.
For Units with multiple Tenants, you will need one row for each Tenant. All corresponding Unit information should match exactly from row to row (e.g. 123 W Main Street = 123 W Main Street, NOT 123 West Main St). If these cells have even slightly different information, duplicate properties may be created.
If you have Vacant Units to import, include the Unit data but leave the Tenant fields blank.
Spreadsheet Address Relationship
The relationship between Units_Tenants and Owners worksheet plays an important role in the accuracy of the data import process.
Blue highlighted cells (Unit Address (Line 1), Unit City, Unit State, and Unit Zip Code) from the Units_Tenants worksheet must match the corresponding cells on the Owners worksheet exactly.
Correct Match: 123 W Main Street and 123 W Main Street
NOT Correct Match: 123 W Main Street and 123 West Main St
If these cells have even slightly different information, duplicate properties may be created and/or owners may not be imported.
