Expenditures FAQs
Q: Can I disable the Expenditures feature?
A: This feature cannot be disabled. We recommend establishing how (and if) to use expenditures and communicating that to your team.
Q: Where can I download a report with all Expenditures?
A: Please refer to How to Export Data from Property Meld.
Q: Where do expenditures populate in Rent Manager?
A: Each line item from Property Meld will sync to the "Work Order" tab in Rent Manager.
Q: Where do the "Items" that appear in the Item field come from and how do they sync to Rent Manager?
A: The Inventory Items are reflective of both active and inactive Inventory Items in Rent Manager.
- IMPORTANT: Please note that text can be entered into the Item field instead of selecting an Inventory Item. In this event, a new Inventory Item will be created in Rent Manager. It is recommended to keep the list of Inventory Items clean in Rent Manager that a user is restricted (via an operational rule) to only select not enter an Item.
Q: Why aren't some Expenditure Line Items syncing to Rent Manager?
A: There are two common issues associated with this:
- Rent Manager Item selection required: Each line item in an Expenditure is synced to Rent Manager in a Work Order, the Rent Manager Item must be selected from Expenditures line item.
- Rent Manager "Track Inventory" enabled: If "Track Inventory" is enabled for any Item and "Reorder Qty" in Rent Manager is 0 (zero), that Inventory Item will NOT sync with Property Meld and be available in the Rent Manager Item selection. Rent Manager recognizes this as a prerequisite to displaying this Item (e.g. quantity less than or equal to zero) in Property Meld.
