In this article, we will be covering how the Estimate Status
can influence the buttons in an estimate card. The following image shows all the possible buttons that can be on an estimate card. (Presenting estimates in a card form is a feature brought by the Design System project).
There are 4 different buttons available on an estimate card. They are the Approve
button, the Close
button, the Request Owner Approval
button, and the View Line Items
button. Let's go over what factors that influence each button.

Approve
button-
Appears when estimate is in the
Submitted
status. -
Does not appear if the estimate is in:

Any other statuses.

If there is a list of estimates and there is at least one estimate that is approved, regardless of the statuses of the other estimates.

Close
button-
Appears when the estimate is in the following statuses:

Pending Vendor Acceptance

Estimate in Progress

Submitted

Pending Approval
-

Does not appear if the estimate is in the following statuses:

Approved
-
Closed
-
Vendor Rejected

Owner Rejected
-

Request Owner Approval

Appears when the estimate is in the following status AND condition:

The estimate is
Submitted
AND -
There are owners under the unit or property the Meld is part of.

Does not appear if the estimate is in:

Any other statuses.

If there is a list of estimates and there is at least one estimate that is approved, regardless of the statuses of the other estimates.

No owners associated.
