What is the Meld Coordinator Feature?
The Property Meld Coordinator feature allows property managers the ability to assign Melds to an internal user that will be assuming responsibility for oversight on the Meld. With this feature, you can also filter for Melds assigned to a specific coordinator and create workflows to auto-assign a specific individual as the coordinator.
How to Assign a Meld Coordinator
Step 1:
Click Melds and then click to open the meld you would like to assign a coordinator.
NOTE: The user that assigns the Meld to a vendor/technician will automatically be made the coordinator. This can be edited as needed. If the coordinator field is already filled out it will not auto assign to a different user.
Step 2:
From a Meld and under the Coordinator header, click the Edit icon to assign a Coordinator if it needs to be changed.
Step 3:
Click the dropdown arrow to select individual you wish to assign as coordinator.
NOTE: You can only assign one coordinator per Meld. If the user is grayed out it means they do not have access to that Property Group that the Meld's unit is associated with.
Step 4:
Click SAVE.
How to Filter for Coordinator Assignments
Step 1:
Click Melds.
Step 2:
Click the FILTER menu, then click Coordinator and select applicable coordinator(s) and then click APPLY FILTERS.
- We recommend you filter by the status of the Meld so you can see how efficiently a coordinator is processing the service issues.
How to Auto-Assign a Coordinator with a Workflow
Note: If you are auto assigning with a workflow the Meld Coordinator assignment will not be changed when a user assigns that Meld to a vendor/technician.
- Why would you want to auto assign a Coordinator? If certain property managers or maintenance coordinators are responsible for the portfolio, property group, or specific process.
Step 1:
Click Melds.
Step 2:
Click Workflows.
Step 3:
Click Create Workflow.
Step 4:
Define workflow parameters and under Action select your coordinator to assign.
