Integration Settings - AppFolio - Meld 2.0

NOTE: This article only applies to Customers with an active integration between Property Meld and AppFolio. 

This article explains the details and configuration capabilities of the AppFolio Integration.

NOTE: Only users with an Admin role can view and update integration settings,

 

Step 1:

Click company name, then click Integration Settings.

 

Step 2:

Click appfolio card.

 

Information

The Information tab provides messaging indicating the integration is enabled, and also the email address to contact the Support Team.

If you would like to disable your AppFolio integration, please contact your Success Manager or reach out to the Support Team at support@propertymeld.com.

 

Settings 

The Settings tab determines what information will sync between Property Meld and AppFolio. Below are descriptions of each setting.

  • Import new units and properties:
    • When checked, Properties and Units from AppFolio will sync to Property Meld Properties and Units every 2 hours (approximate).
  • Overwrite unit maintenance notes with AppFolio's unit specific notes:  
    • When checked, the Maintenance Notes field from AppFolio will sync to Property Meld Property Maintenance Notes every 2 hours (approximate).
  • Import new residents:  
    • When checked, Residents/Homeowners from AppFolio will sync to Property Meld Residents every 2 hours (approximate).
  • Invite imported residents:  
    • When checked, Residents/Homeowners synced from AppFolio will automatically receive an invite to Property Meld.
  • Import owners:  
    • When checked, Owners from AppFolio will sync to Property Meld Owners every 2 hours (approximate).
    • NOTE:  Owners will not automatically be invited nor will their notifications be enabled upon import.
  • Export melds:  
    • When checked, Meld information from Property Meld will sync to AppFolio Work Orders automatically.
  • Export invoices as Bills:  
    • When checked, any Invoices from Property Meld will sync to AppFolio Payee (linked vendor required for invoice export) and a bill will be created in AppFolio. NOTE: the trigger to export invoice is to 'Approve' the invoice in Property Meld.
  • Export invoice attachments to Bill:
    • When checked, invoice PDF attachments will sync to AppFolio and attach to the bill.
  • Export invoices as Billable Items:
    • When checked, Billable Items will sync to the work order in AppFolio. NOTE: the integration WILL NOT create the bill - the customer will need to turn the Billable Items into a bill themselves.
  • Export invoice attachments to Work Order:
    • When checked, invoice PDF attachments will sync to AppFolio Files on the work order.
  • Expenditures:
    • When Export Expenditures checked, expenditures will sync to AppFolio Billable Items on work order.
    • In addition, when Export Expenditures is checked, expenditure PDF attachments will sync to AppFolio Files on the work order.

 

Sync

Property Meld will automatically sync Properties, Units, Residents, and Owners from AppFolio every 2 hours.

NOTE: Vendors will need to be manually selected and synced.  

 

Selective Sync

When you click on SELECT VENDORS, you will be able to view those vendors that have not synced and make corrections in AppFolio as needed.

NOTE:  Only vendors that are not already successfully Linked or Imported into Property Meld will appear here.
