During the Onboarding process, you will be required to submit files with your Unit, Property, Tenant, and Owner information. Following the instructions below is critical to ensure your data is imported correctly and seamlessly into your Property Meld Account.
Overview of Steps
- Follow the instructions listed here to obtain four (4) reports.
- Unit Directory
- Tenant Directory
- Owner Directory
- Property Directory
- Upload and send the Excel files to your Customer Success Manager via email.
Unit Directory
NOTE: If you would like to segment your Properties in Property Meld (utilize Property Groups), add a Property Group column to your exported Unit Directory and indicate which Property Group each property should belong to. Refer questions to your Onboarding Lead.
Step 1:
Navigate to Reporting >> Reports.
Step 2:
Select the Unit Directory.
Step 3:
Click Customize.
Step 4:
Click Columns, then select the following:
- Unit Name
- Property
- Property Name
- Property ID (optional)
- Unit Address
- Unit Street Address 1
- Unit Street Address 2
- Unit City
- Unit State
- Unit Zip
- Unit ID (optional)
NOTE: If Property ID and Unit ID do not appear in your list of options, you can disregard those columns.
Step 5:
Click Grouping. Ensure Do not group rows is selected, then click Update.
Step 6:
Export and save the Report.
Tenant Directory
Step 1:
Navigate to Reporting >> Reports.
Step 2:
Select the Tenant Directory.
Step 3:
Click Customize.
Step 4:
Click Columns, then select the following:
- Property
- Unit
- Tenant
- Phone Numbers
- Emails
- Tenant Street Address 1
- Tenant Street Address 2
- Tenant City
- Tenant State
- Tenant Zip
- Property Name
- Property ID
- Property Address
- Property Street Address 1
- Property Street Address 2
- Property City
- Property State
- Property Zip
- Tenant ID
- Unit ID
- Move-in
- Move-out
- Lease From
- Lease To
Step 5:
Click Grouping. Ensure Do not group rows is selected, then click Update.
Step 6:
Export and save the report.
Property Directory (for Warranty, Insurance, Approval Limits, Notes)
Step 1:
Navigate to Reporting >> Reports.
Step 2:
Select the Property Directory.
Step 3:
Click Customize.
Step 4:
Click Columns, then select the following:
- Property Street Address 1
- Property
- Property Name
- Property ID
- Property Address
- Property Street Address 2
- Property City
- Property State
- Property Zip
- Home Warranty Expiration
- Maintenance Notes
- Insurance Expiration
- Maintenance Limit
Step 5:
Click Grouping. Ensure Do not group rows is selected, then click Update.
Step 6:
Export and save the report.
Owner Directory
Step 1:
Navigate to Reporting >> Reports.
Step 2:
Select the Owner Directory.
Step 3:
Select Customize.
Step 4:
Click Columns, then select the following:
- Name
- Phone Numbers
- Properties Owned
- Properties Owned IDs
Step 5:
Click Grouping. Ensure Do not group rows is selected, then click Update.
Step 6:
Export and save the report.
