As a Property Manager, you can add owners in three different ways and each is documented with the simple steps below.
- Add Owner
- Add Owner from the Unit
- Add Owner from the Meld
NOTE: Owners with the access level of None or Notifications Only not have access to the Property Meld but will be notified via email or text notification when the Meld is added, scheduled, and completed. Owners with the notification access level of Owner Hub will be able to log in to a Property Additionally, owners can be communicated with via Meld Chat directly.
Add Owner
Step 1:
Click Properties, then click Owners.
Step 2:
Click New Owner.
Step 3:
Fill in the owner's first name, last name, email address, and phone numbers fields (if desired). Choose the notification access level that you would like the owner to have, for notification access level definitions refer to Changing Owner Notification Access Levels. Once completed, click Create.
NOTE: By default, the None notification access level is assigned.
Step 4:
Invited owners will be displayed under the Owners tab in the Properties section.
Add Owner from a Unit
Step 1:
Click Properties, then click Units.
Step 2a:
Select the unit that you would like to add the owner to, then click Add Owner.

Step 2b:
Search for the unit by the address in the search box, then click Add Owner as described in the previous step.
Step 3:
Fill in the owner information including cell phone if you wish to allow the Owner to opt-in to text message communication and click SAVE.
NOTE: By default, the None notification access level is assigned.
Step 4:
See the highlighted section displaying the owner now assigned to the current unit.
Add Owner from the Meld
Step 1:
Click Melds, then click on a Meld for the unit you wish to add an owner to.
Step 2:
Click Chat.
Step 3:
From the drop-down next to the SEND MESSAGE TO button, select Managers, Owners.
Click There is no owner at this meld's property. Click here if you wish to add one.
NOTE: Make sure you select Managers, Owners from the SEND MESSAGE TO dropdown. By default, it will be selected to Managers, Vendors & Tenants.
Step 4:
Fill in the owner information including cell phone if you wish to allow the owner to opt-in to text message communication and click SAVE.
NOTE: By default, the None notification access level is assigned.
Step 5:
Once the owner is added or already in the system, refer to the highlighted section which will display the owner(s) that will receive the Chat Message.
